Gerwyn Price currently sits sixth in the Premier League Darts standings and looks unlikely to make the play-offs at this point.
For 'The Iceman', he is not a fan of the new format and believes it's unfair.
"I just need Premier League to hurry up and finish and then I can get on with just knuckling down, getting into the ranking events. Premier League just takes it out of you, it doesn't give you any time to relax, it doesn't give you any time to fix things. You're just constantly on the go," he said to Online Darts.
"I'm not a fan of it. To play three games in a night and then plus going and playing ProTours, it's not just about that night. It's about everything that comes with it as well I mean it's a little bit too much. If you're going to do that format, at least be a little bit more fair.
He also said that it is due to the draw system favouring match-ups between himself and Michael van Gerwen with a lack of ties between the world's top two apparent in the opening weeks.
"I think of the 16 weeks, I'm only on Peter's side of the draw twice. I'm on Michael's side of the draw 8/9 times, if it's going to be that format it needs to be more equal. I don't think you can get equal. I think you should go back to the old format, I just don't think it's fair. I don't think they can do it fair either."
