A total of 240 180-scores were thrown during the 2022 European Championship. Never before have so many maximum scores been thrown during one edition of the European Championship, statistician Philipp Wolff calculated.
The old record stood at 237 maximum scores, which dated from the 2015 edition. That number was surpassed in the final of the European Darts Championship. Thanks to 16 180-scores in the final, the tally thus ended up at 240.
The most 180s came from Michael Smith, who recorded 34 in total. However, the tournament was won by Ross Smith, who threw a 180 score 33 times.
