Searle discusses Anderson's World Darts Championship chances: "The only thing wrong with Gary's game is he doesn't put the time in"

Ryan Searle sealed a superb 3-0 sets win over Adam Gawlas surviving a late resolve from the Czech ace and he will return after Christmas at the PDC World Darts Championship.

Searle's practice partner, Gary Anderson starts his campaign tonight and ever a hot topic, he played up his chances if he can get his head right around the game.

"To be fair he even came to my house which is the first time in the two years we've been practicing together. Obviously he must be keen or Rachel (Gary's wife) kicked him out it's one or the other.

"I feel like I can go deep in this tournament, Gary can go deep in this tournament. I'll enjoy Christmas now and look forward."

"I think the only thing wrong with Gary's game is he doesn't put the time in. If he puts the time in, he could easily win another World Championship if he wanted to. Obviously his goals may have changed over the years as he's got everything he needs in life and darts probably isn't his main thing anymore.

"Next season I'd like to think we could try and practice sort of two times a week and that would help us both out. To be fair do I want him smashing everyone up? It's one of them, it helps me because there's nothing that anyone can do to phase you when you're playing someone like Gary who's on it."
