It's safe to say that Michael Smith wasn't at his best in his last four Player Championships, the World. No4 failed to progress to his second match in all four of those tournaments.
The 32 year old has recently opened up to Unicorn Darts about 'the worst four days' of his darting career.
“I’ve gone four out of four first round losses. But this week the way I’ve played, I’ve had two good games and the rest has been a struggle to watch never mind play. I’ll be back though trust me."
“It’s been the worst four days of my darting career. Just everything. My doubles have been miss and miss, never mind hit and miss and scoring gone."
“Now a massive push these next few days for the European just to get things back in order.” said Smith to Unicorn Darts.
However Michael Smith now has the chance to redeem himself and bounce back. 'Bully Boy' with be facing Karel Sedlacek on the 27th of October in his opening match of the European Championships, where he will be hoping to return to better form.
