Gilding becomes second oldest debutant ever at European Championship

On the 27th of October the World No.49 Andrew Gilding will be facing Danny Noppert in the first round of the European Championship. The 51 year old will be hoping to see success in his first ever time at the tournament.

Gilding now becomes only the fourth ever player to debut at the European Championships over the age of 50.

Although Gilding is part of the small minority to make their debut in this tournament over the age of 50- he still isn't the oldest.
