As the World Matchplay edges closer with the draw and schedule being confirmed for the showpiece event which takes place in Blackpool from this weekend, we take a look at another classic moment.
This time it comes from the 2016 edition of the showpiece tournament; where Michael van Gerwen faced Jamie Caven in the first round. Van Gerwen played brilliantly coming away with a whitewash win; against an out of sorts 'Jabba'.
He hit a 105 average in smashing him 10-0 and signalling how good he was; Caven poured water over his head. Wayne Mardle, who was working for Sky Sports said on the coverage about how he it was the only thing he hit all night in a hilarious moment.
