THROWBACK VIDEO: Clayton hits nine-dart finish on Stage Two at UK Open

This Friday the nineteenth edition of the UK Open starts. Until the start of the FA Cup of Darts, DartsNews looks back on special moments in the history of this tournament.

Jonny Clayton managed to get one of the twelve nine-dart finishes in the history of the UK Open.

Clayton played Chris Dobey in the sixth round of the 2020 UK Open on Stage Two. His match was not televised, but luckily a camera was on site to capture his perfect leg.

The Welshman hit his perfect leg with two 180 scores and a 141 finish. The nine-darter caused a huge release of emotiion for Clayton, who at that time had yet to hit one in a major. The Ferret's tally now stands at two, as he also threw a nine darter at the 2021 Premier League Darts.
