Van Duijvenbode is clear about World Cup of Darts roles with Noppert: "Danny he is the number one, but that I take leadership"

The Netherlands have easily qualified for the second round of the World Cup of Darts. Dirk van Duijvenbode and Danny Noppert beat Brazil 5-0 in the opening round.

"With a 5-0 win you can't do much wrong, so this was just a good match", Noppert opens to TOTO Dart Kings. "I have a good click with Dirk and I'm really looking forward to performing here this weekend."

Van Duijvenbode was also satisfied. "We didn't reach our best level yet, but that wasn't necessary against Brazil. We both played very solid and that gives confidence for the future."

Van Duijvenbode and Noppert are a duo for the first time at the World Cup of Darts. "I told Danny that he is the number one, but that I take the leadership. So he starts the legs every time in (pair) matches."

In the second round, the Netherlands will take on Ireland, who were too strong for Canada in the first round, 5-2. "That's quite a difficult opponent, but we are both in the top 16 of the world ranking list and they are not even in the top 32, so actually we should just win," both Dutchmen say.
