Van Gerwen jokes after Premier League Darts defeat: "Is Price getting closer now? Not to me, he is not even in my shadow'

Michael van Gerwen failed to win the fourteenth round of the Premier League on Thursday night. Mighty Mike went down 6-5 in the final against Gerwyn Price in Sheffield.
Van Gerwen is currently second in the Premier League standings, three points behind leader Jonny Clayton.

Gerwyn Price's victory puts him in fifth place, two points behind fourth-placed Peter Wright. "Whether Price is getting closer? Not to me at all," Van Gerwen told Viaplay. "He's not even in my shadow and my shadow is quite big," the 32-year-old Dutchman laughs.
