Michael van Gerwen was outstanding on Saturday night during the final session of the Poland Darts Masters. In his final against Dimitri van den Bergh (8-3 win, ed.), 'Mighty Mike' threw an average of 113.22.
Van Gerwen reached this average via two 11-darters and two 12-darters, among others. In addition, the world number three recorded a 47 percent finish percentage.
His average of 113.22 was Van Gerwen's highest average during a television tournament since 2017. During the 2017 Premier League Darts, Van Gerwen last threw a TV average above 113 at 113.62 at the time.
It was also the best average ever in a World Series of Darts final, a true record breaking night for the Green Machine.
