Webster on Wade's World Darts Championship chances: "He needs to up his level of performance and James will know that"

Asked listener questions, Mark Webster and Michael Bridge perused them during the latest episode of Love the Darts including surrounding James Wade and whether he is a contender for the PDC World Darts Championship.

Webster believes he is but that he needs to up his level. This after a year in which Wade was one of the darting elite then fell ill at a European Tour and failed to recapture that form since.

"He's a contender. He got to the semi's last year albeit the draw was quite generous to him. If he clicks, he's in that section with Gerwyn Price and he could have a good run. But it just doesn't seem to happen for him at the World's," said Webster on Love The Darts.

"Got to focus now and like I say the seeded players just get that one game and get focused for after Christmas. He needs to up his level of performance and James will know that as well."

"He'll think I'm a Premier League player but if he goes up early, you don't see him getting into it do you," said Bridge.
