Simon Whitlock and Kim Huybrechts are through to the second round at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy after standout displays on the opening day.
Whitlock eased past Wayne Jones in a 6-1 win with a 96.6 average and was at his scoring best with five 180’s in a magical start for ‘The Wizard’.
While Huybrechts who has shown glimmers of a return to form breezed past Boris Koltsov in a 6-2 win with a high checkout of 161 en route hitting a 105 average. ‘The Hurricane’ heading towards his best in Gibraltar.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
