Winning is a kind of addiction for World Championship participant Dragutin Horvat: ''I don't like losing''

Dragutin Horvat is one of five German players at the PDC World Darts Championship 2024, which starts on December 15.

Horvat secured participation in this important tournament by winning the Europe Super League. "I'm really looking forward to it, absolutely," he told the Hessenschau. "The whole thing. To enjoy that is unique. You don't get that at just any tournament. It's really something special."

The German will meet Mike De Decker in the first round of the World Darts Championship. A match Horvat considers "very equal." If he wins, 32nd-seeded Madars Razma awaits in the second round. "That will be more difficult. He is a seeded player from the top-32 in the world. It will be a little more complicated, but it's all doable."

Finally, Horvat gave an insight into his mindset. "I don't like to lose. That's why I always want to win. And when you win, it's even more fun. You always want more of it. It's kind of an addiction at some point."
