Zonneveld reacts to Wright's refusal for fist bump ahead of decider: 'After the match I talked it out with Peter'

Niels Zonneveld recorded a stunning victory over Peter Wright in the second round of the Belgian Darts Open last weekend. He defeated the reigning world champion 6-5 after a deciding leg.

After the match, however, social media was mostly about a moment prior to the start of the final leg. Zonneveld held out his hand to give Wright a fist bump, but 'Snakebite' did not return the favour. Afterwards, Wright did simply congratulate the Dutchman on winning.

Speaking to 433 darts, Zonneveld said they discussed it post match. ''I don't want to call it an incident. After the match I talked it out with Peter. He said he didn't give a fist bump to not be taken out of his game, with that it's done,'' Zonneveld revealed.
