Peter Wright was dumped out of the
Belgian Darts Open at the second round stage after losing to an inspired display by
Niels Zonneveld who came from 4-2 down to reach the final day of a
European Tour for the first time.
Asked to rank his victory, Zonneveld said that it is one of the biggest but not a standout one being in the top three.
"For sure one of the biggest wins of my career," said Zonneveld. "I think last year against Dave Chisnall and Gary Anderson was also one of the biggest but this is in the top three."
"He was 4-2 up and I thought maybe I lose this game as I lost my own leg but I get it back and I hit some good finishes and 5-4 up and really amazing I got the last leg."
Next up is Andrew Gilding who dumped out Dimitri van den Bergh and Zonneveld hopes he can have the crowd on his side to get some revenge.
"I hope I can make the crowd happy to beat Andrew Gilding. Maybe they'll support the Netherlands, we'll see what happens."
