Anastasia Dobromyslova will return to Lakeside in January for the WDF World Championship with the first iteration since the demise of the BDO.
Dobromyslova is looking forward to returning to the iconic venue and going back to where it started for her.
"It's where I started playing Lakeside. My first World Championship and O2 was a different experience but I think Lakeside will always be the iconic place for darts. We'll see how it goes there next year," said Dobromyslova to Inside the WDF.
Record prize fund and becoming four time World Champion
The Russian ace was also asked about the increase in prize fund and what that means to her and the other players involved.
"Obviously I won't say no return it to £6,000 like it used to be. I think it's great news especially for ladies darts and it's nice to be recognised and appreciated from authorities. We're putting just as much work in as men probably even more."
As well as what it would mean to claim a fourth World Championship in January with that increased spotlight on the ladies game.
"It would mean the world to me. I think this time would be really special for me. Probably my form wasn't great the last couple of years and I didn't achieve what I wanted to achieve so winning the World Championship would be great."
Sherrock exploits
Fallon Sherrock has been the hot topic as of late and for Dobromyslova, she sees her as a real source of inspiration that hopefully she can emulate.
"It's like this girl is unreal. I'm like what do you do, how do you practice, what are you having for breakfast. She's amazing. But then again playing against good female and male players is raising her game up and hopefully tournaments coming back is going to raise our game as well."
Women's Series and 2022 plans
Playing both Women's Series and WDF is in her plans for next year with the expanded 20 events which will take place.
"Plan is do both. Probably Q-School, I've got big plans for next year but if I can do everything or not, that's another question. I would like to do as much as I can to be honest."
