Jenkins eyeing up Taylor clash at World Seniors: "Hopefully it's me and Phil in the final and I can have him back for once"

Terry Jenkins is through at the World Seniors Darts Championship after seeing off Roland Scholten and he was glad to be back on stage in a venue he has fond memories of.

"It was good actually, I felt a bit of nerves going up there. It's been quite a while since I've been on that stage and in front of a bigger crowd. I played in county for a couple of weeks/months to get the experience again of playing in front of a crowd. I felt good up there to be honest," he said post match.

"I played here four or five times and it definitely brings back memories. It was the good old days."

It is a new format as well that gets the juices going for 'The Bull' who believes it suits his life off the oche more.

"You never know they might invite me to another one but yeah I'm looking forward to it because it's not all the time. They're spaced out a bit and you've got time to relax. With this, it's more my sort of thing and I can cope with it."

He will be eyeing up a final as well with Phil Taylor if he can get that far.

"Hopefully it's me and Phil in the final and I can have him back for once.

But isn't resting on his laurels when taking on Lisa Ashton next match up who of course has only just fallen off the PDC Tour.

"She's a current player and is playing really good darts so I know I've got to play a lot better than I did."
