Painter dreaming of victory at World Seniors Darts Masters: "I wanna get up there and win one"

This weekend the World Seniors Darts Masters will be played in Yeovil, England. Kevin Painter is dreaming of taking the overall win there.
The World Seniors Darts Masters, is one of the majors on the World Seniors Darts Tour. Painter takes on John Part in his opening match. "It's been difficult. I've been having treatment for acupuncture. We're seeing the back of that now so no excuses," said 'The Artist' to Online Darts.

The 55-year-old Englishman, a former PDC major winner, still sets the bar very high for himself. "I've had my moments but I'm disappointed I've not won one," he continues. "I’ve got my own standards and I expected to have win one by now."
"I wanna get up there and win one. Play a little bit better as well. Some of my performance haven't been top grade."

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024

If you want to see crowd passion... watch a match when German and Dutch players face off... that can be just as bad if not worse for crowd noises.
