Known as a TV pundit and commentator on the World Seniors now and the BDO previously, Bobby George is one of the most well known parts of each team and he spoke about his career alongside Ray Stubbs including when he was told what to say on TV.
"I remember on the television, you get the boxes you get given the times like you've got two and a half minutes, minute here and then VT. But I'm not very journalistic, I just look at it and bin it," said George during an MDA event.
"If he says something I remember it, anyway he said you've got two minutes to talk about Ted Hankey. I think there's nothing about Ted Hankey, I've got nothing. Well there is now but I wouldn't have sat next to him if I knew that."
"I said I'll do 15-20 seconds. I'll ad lib and I'll think of something. On TV, you've got 50 people talking at once. Cameras zooming, if you're not used to it it's a nightmare. But there's only one voice you hear and that's the director."
"He went Bobby what do you think of Andy Fordham and I thought f*****g hell, my brain was all Ted Hankey. And the bloke in my earhole, tell Ray he's a c*** will you. Ray didn't hear that and he was looking at me, he thought I was going to call him that."
