Anastasia Dobromyslova looked back to her victory on TV against Vincent van der Voort as she became only the second female player to beat a male, at the Grand Slam of Darts in a recent interview with Eurosport.
Women's darts was further thrust into the spotlight recently; with the news of Fallon Sherrock being shown all over the World.
Dobromyslova said it spurred her on for further success and she also spoke of the attention she received at the time.
"I don't think ten years ago [darts] was as big as it is now," she says. "The attention I had ten years ago, that was huge for ten years ago!"
"It was a huge build-up to it," she recalls. "You always get people saying, 'It's just a gimmick, they're never good enough.' I just wanted to play well. It happened I won, and obviously that was a special moment - but I was just trying to play my game as much as possible."
"It's about time!" added Dobromyslova on Sherrock's displays. "Her finishes were phenomenal - I felt a bit jealous, to be honest. It brings the memories. She's doing amazingly - and I'm like, 'Do you know what? I want to win as well."
