O'Shea spoke on the Golden Arrows Podcast recently about how tough circumstances awaited him before the final and that despite it not being an excuse, it was playing on his mind before the big match.
"I was behind early on. I'm not a good starter anyway and I never have been. To be that far behind, just take one leg at a time and then when you get the set again it's one leg at the time," said O'Shea on the Golden Arrows Podcast.
"I've actually started writing a book and it's going to be in the book. The night before my son and grandson were actually down visiting the Lakeside and I found them somewhere to stay. They were actually loading a car actually right outside the Lakeside and I didn't go to bed until 4am because they had to be taken to hospital."
"I'm not saying that's an excuse but that was on my mind and I didn't really sleep the night before. Sometimes I wondered if that hadn't happened, you never know."
