Tony Martin has been appointed as the Players Director for the United Kingdom Darts Association (UKDA), it has been announced.

Martin has been appointed due to an ‘extensive knowledge of the darting system‘; UKDA believe he will be a ‘fantastic asset’.

He will work closely with the counties involved and players; to help develop and grow grassroots darts using the UKDA system.

During his career, he has competed in both the BDO and PDC; he has gone from grassroots to captaining his county.

The 39-year-old is also of course the husband of three time World Champion, Anastasia Dobromyslova.
