As well as the Six Nations Cup and LDO Ladies Classic which took place over the weekend, the Austrian Open in Vienna was held with Sven Verdonck and Kaisu Rekinen coming out on top.
In the men's field, the stand-out names included Michael Unterbuchner, John Scott and Francis Carragher in what was a Category D tournament.
Scott lost out early doors in a 4-3 defeat to Patrick Tringler who fell at the Quarter-Final stage. Carragher lost out in the Last 16 to József Rucska.
Unterbuchner on the other hand lost out Markus Straub who reached the final in the Quarter-Finals. Verdonck's route saw him defeat Rucska as well as Áron Böröczi.
He then saw off Straub who had seen off number four seed Jeffrey van Egdom in the semi-finals in a 6-2 victory.
In the ladies, number four seed Kaisu Rekinen saw off Jitka Cisarova in a 5-2 win after seeing off Csombok Krisztina and then Jasmin Schnier in a brilliant victory for the Finn. It was a second title of the year which should see her reach the top 40 in the BDO rolling title.
