16-year-old darting prodigy
Luke Littler continued his impressive form to start the season by claiming a hat-trick of JDC Advanced Tour titles in Coventry.
With £10,000 on offer across the year, the JDC Advanced Tour had winners such as Thomas Banks, Henry Coates, Leighton Bennett and Jenson Walker during the opening weekend last month. In April however it was all about Luke Littler.
On Saturday, Littler took both event five and event six courtesy of final wins over Rune van Damme. Highlights of the 16-year-old's Saturday included a pair of 11-darters in the final of event five against van Damme and a succession of ton-plus averages in event six that showed the immense potential Littler has.
Despite suffering a defeat to Lewis Bell on Sunday's event seven, Littler gained revenge in event eight courtesy of a 105 average whitewash win over Bell that included him agonisingly missing double 12 for a nine-dart leg. Littler then completed his hat-trick with a 6-1 rout of Fabian Tapner in the final.
