Ashton annoyed after being ignored for Grand Slam: 'They need to hang their heads in shame'

Eight years ago it was the last time that female competitors took part in the Grand Slam of Darts. At that time Stacy Bromberg and Tricia Wright received an invite from the PDC. In Ashton's opinion it was time to invite female darts players again. ''You still have no confidence in putting a lady player into the competiton [Grand Slam] and promote the ladies game. You need to hang your head in shame'', she wrote on her Facebook to the BDO selectors. ''You are suppose to take the game forward, as we have done for the ladies and still knock us down. We are suppose to make a new start for the BDO, when will it start then? The PDC have give us a go'', said Ashton as she referred to the for the PDC World Darts Championship.
