Rob Cross before beginning his PDC World Championship defence has admitted to removing himself from all social media.
This came after him winning the World title and was aimed mainly at his children; which he admitted in an interview with the Sunday Mirror was not very nice. ‘He said he wished all my kids dead. He said I would live but my wife and kids would die,' said Cross. He added: 'He said I should live unhappily alone for the rest of my days. 'I could probably accept that kind of stuff if it was aimed at me, but when it comes down to your own flesh and blood, like my kids, it's not very nice.” 'My family are everything to me - they make my life tick; if I didn't have them I wouldn't be coming here as defending world champion. I would probably be an alcoholic or a drop-out. 'They are a massive part of me, probably more than I'm worth, and for a loner to go out of his way to go after them is out of order. 'It was only one geezer, not long after I won the World Championship; but it was enough for me to switch off social media and have nothing to do with it. 'If you want to be nasty to someone, you should be nasty to them directly to their face, rather than drag other people into it.'
