Cross in confident mood ahead of facing Van Gerwen: 'I want to confirm my place in the playoffs'

Rob Cross could confirm his spot in the play-offs tonight as the Premier League goes to Birmingham. He will have a tough test though in the form of Michael van Gerwen who is the first player through to the O2.
While 'Voltage' sees this as a huge challenge for him he is confident and wants to remain positive ahead of a final push for a debut spot at the end of season finale. "It will be a huge challenge", said Cross on the PDC website. "Michael is not the number one in the world for nothing, he is a fantastic darter. You know what to do to defeat him. " "I want to confirm my place in the playoffs and remain positive. Every week is still a new experience for me and I am still in a learning process. "
