Joe Cullen has dumped out former World Champion, Rob Cross in a brilliant win for ‘The Rockstar’.
Cross had a brilliant World Championship and so would have been a heavy favourite. Despite that though, he went behind early on meaning it was too much of a mountain to climb in the end. Cullen endured a dream start going 4-1 up and despite Cross staying in it with a 124 checkout, Cullen extended his lead when pressurised. When Cross missed his final chance to potentially get back into it, the Bradford ace made no mistake to move through. to check out the tournament centre for the Masters. - I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
