Jeffrey de Zwaan was very honest after his heavy defeat to Gary Anderson at the World Grand Prix. The 22-year-old Dutchman labeled his performance as 'a disgrace'.
Where De Zwaan was able to keep pace with Anderson at the World Matchplay (12-17 loss), it was now a big difference of level with the Scotsman. The two-time World Champion only dropped one leg (3-0, 3-1 and 3-0) en route to a place in the quarter-finals. ''I did not throw anything at all, it was a disgrace. When I was practicing before the game I felt really good, but when I came on stage I did not know what I was doing the first two legs.'' ''I got frustrated with my own game, I could not find it. Gary was throwing well, but I had an off-day'', said a disillusioned De Zwaan.
