Dutchman Frank Posthumus achieved the impressive feat of playing darts for almost three consecutive days to raise money for charity. Starting on Friday night at 7pm, the Assen-based player threw his final darts on Monday afternoon before enjoying a well-earned rest.

Posthumus stood at the oche for 65 hours and 20 minutes, easily surpassing the previous recorded world record of 60 hours. Apart from a five-minute break every hour, his time throwing over a grueling weekend was unbroken. He embarked on the record attempt to raise money for Stichting Ambulance Wens, a Dutch charity which helps make dreams a reality for people suffering terminal illnesses. The 37-year-old has raised 3,500 Euros towards his goal of 25,000 Euros, with donations still coming in. You can donate through .
