England's pair of Rob Cross and Dave Chisnall are through but could have so easily have been dumped out of the competition at the second round stage. This was due to it going the distance to a pairs decider which won't make one of the top seeds in the World Cup of Darts as confident heading into a Quarter-Final with Belgium.

It started off with the evergreen Paul Lim who every single time he competes in a PDC tournament rolls back the years. He defeated Rob Cross in a stunning win which could have been a main catalyst towards a shock at the World Cup of Darts. It was a 4-2 victory where 'The Singapore Slinger' averaged 103.5.
Chisnall then faced Harith Lim winning 4-2 but he was pushed to the limit in a game that had huge ramifications. It went to the pairs and Paul Lim lacked his scoring which saw him past Cross; that meant that England could win the match easier than expected.
