This Saturday the best darts players from the PDC and BDO will battle each other in Wolverhampton. Michael van Gerwen (last year's winner), Gary Anderson, Peter Wright, Rob Cross, but also Glen Durrant, Mark McGeeney, Scott Mitchell and Wesley Harms will make their appearance.
The Grand Slam Of Darts starts with a group stage where 32 darts players are divided over 8 groups. In this group they will play every darts player one time (3 matches in total). They will play a maximum of 9 legs, the first darts player who wins 5 legs will win the match. Every leg won in the first round will add one point to your team. Per match a player can win a maximum of 5 points for the Fantasy Grand Slam of Darts. The numbers 1 and 2 of every group will go the knockout stage.

- Many fans had a sour taste in their mouth by the end of this match. Mike was cruising to victory, playing beautiful darts, when the whistling started in earnest, particularly on his doubles. You could see in Mike's face that it was really affecting his concentration. The referee should have asked for order, just to show that the whistling is unacceptable, and Luke Littler could also have done his part to quieten down the crowd instead of "taking full advantage.:" I put that down to his age though. He needs some good advice on this from his management team and/or more seasoned players. It's got to be about who's best on the night, not who is being harassed by the crowd. Luke Littler played well to get back into the game and win, but it was a hollow victory. If he goes on to win the tournament, that triumph too will be tainted because of this match.
