During the tenth night of the 2025
Premier League Darts in Manchester,
Gerwyn Price delivered an unforgettable moment for the fans in attendance. The former world champion hit a perfect nine-dart leg in his quarter-final clash against
Luke Littler. Despite this moment of brilliance, Price was unable to secure the win, with Littler ultimately emerging victorious 6–3.
Still, it was Price who brought the AO Arena crowd to its feet with his flawless leg—the fourth nine-darter of this Premier League season. The Welshman was visibly proud of his achievement, which clearly meant more to him than prize money or even victory.
"No win tonight but on a positive I’ve managed to bag a set of golden darts that I will keep and cherish for ever and ever…. £30k? Nah just absolute priceless, no money can ever buy these," Price wrote on social media afterwards.
The defeat did cause Price to suffer damage in the battle for making the playoffs. Nevertheless, "The Iceman" is not worried just yet. "My game is in a great place and only going to get better… just you watch I’m coming for the big ones and when it matters I’ll be there," Price concluded with confidence.
