Gurney thinks Van Barneveld will be involved at World Cup Of Darts: ‘I’m just going off a hunch, but I think they probably will’

Gurney said that going off a hunch he probably will be involved and that despite people saying otherwise he still has the game. ‘I don’t know if it’ll be the PDC or whoever, but I think they’ll probably put him in the World Cup with Michael [van Gerwen],’ Gurney told . ‘I’m just going off a hunch, but I think they probably will. ‘So he’s got that TV tournament, he got to the final of a ProTour, so he might be in the Players Championship Final. ‘But he still has to qualify for Blackpool [Matchplay], Dublin [Grand Prix] and the World Championships so I’m sure that’ll be what he’s concentrating on now because he won’t want to miss the World Championships. ‘He’s still got the game because if he turned up at the World Cup and starting carrying Michael we wouldn’t really be that shocked because he is that good. It’s just a matter of getting a bit more confidence.’
