Japan who were superb in their first round victory at the World Cup of Darts over Austria were so again. This time in dispatching Canada without the need for a pairs decider. Seigo Asada and Haruki Muramatsu defeated John Part and Dawson Murschell in singles matches to set up a potential Quarter-Final with Scotland.
Last time it was Asada who was superb, this time it was his teammate Muramatsu that did the business with a brilliant win over Murschell to confirm their spot in the Quarter-Finals of the World Cup of Darts.
Asada started off by defeating Part but it was a close affair. He won 4-3 with Darth Maple having one match dart in a match where Par went 3-1 up before then losing out.
Haruki whitewashed Murschell in that second clash. He averaged 87 with his opponent never getting going and suffering as a result with the experienced player getting the win.
