First of all,
Simon Whitlock lost out to Cristo Reyes with the Spaniard punishing wasteful darts from the Premier League star to win 4-2 to put the Spanish team in the driving seat to go through to the next round of the
World Cup of Darts.
Kyle Anderson came back though to face Toni Alcinas and won 4-1 to force the decider. A brilliant performance from 'The Original' was capped off with a 170 checkout. The deciding pairs game was a lot more of a nervy affair though.
Australia went 3-1 up only to be pegged back to 3-3 and a deciding leg forced in which Spain had the throw. The team of Whitlock and Anderson came together though to squeeze past and set up that match with Wales.
