Noppert very disappointed after losing to Hopp at World Championship: 'It's a shame'

Danny Noppert reacted very disappointed after his defeat to Max Hopp (3-0) in the second round of the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship. 'Noppie' missed 19 of his 22 darts on the doubles and had to leave the tournament on Saturday afternoon.

The Dutchman had an higher average then his German opponent, but a checkout percentage of only fourteen percent cost him the game. Hopp played brilliant on his finishes with 53 percent. ''That says enough'', Noppert told ''It's a shame. This defeat is completely my own fault and I need to deal with this. It's doesn't feel good when you miss so many doubles. I loved my time here, but I could have been here longer.'' After Jeffrey de Zwaan, Noppert is the second Dutch player to be defeated at the World Championship.
