Paul Lim rolled back the years with a historic victory over
Mark Webster. 'The Singapore Slinger' slayed 'The Spider' in a thrilling contest which ended 3-2 to the 63 year old who now moves through to play Gary Anderson in Round 2 in what will be a quality affair judging by tonight and the World Cup of Darts where Paul and Harith Lim also made history by knocking out Scotland.
Lim was 2-1 up but missed a match dart on D15 which allowed Webster back into proceedings which allowed for a thrilling final set which was won by Lim who had the support of the crowd who were singing various songs such as 'Paul Lim's on Fire' and replacing the icelandic thunder clap with Lim and it was a credit to Webster that he didn't let it get to him.
Overall stats wise, Lim averaged 95.98 and hit 13/28 of his doubles with a high finish of 114. He also hit 6 180's and currently is leading the table for 180's.
