Peter 'Snakebite' Wright has won his 5th Euro Tour title of the year, his 10th overall which means he joins a list that includes Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen and John Part.
He claimed the International Darts Open 2017 in Riesa despite not having the best weekend averages wise but saved his best for the final in a last leg deciding win over Kim Huybrechts.
Huybrechts reached the final of the same tournament 12 months ago and faced the same fate but this time without the missed darts from the Belgian. Wright averaged 102 to 92.44 from Huybrechts.'The Hurricane' will want to keep the form going into the next few events while for Wright as well as that he will want to end the year top of the European Order of Merit depending on what van Gerwen does in the final event.
