If qualification is secured, they will get at minimum £7,500 pounds more than most tournaments wins in the BDO. This is more than even getting the runners up cheque for the Lakeside edition of the Ladies World Championship. This amount is £5,000. The winner gets £12,000. Prize money isn’t seen as the main reason why many are choosing the qualifier and that reason is that the BDO still have not announced details for the World Championship. With the likes of Lorraine Winstanley, Anastasia Dobromyslova, Deta Hedman and Fallon Sherrock all confirmed, the BDO will have to clarify in the coming weeks what the situation is. Overall though as seen the financial incentives are there for those who qualify which of course improve if they get through to further rounds.
