Peter Wright claimed the Melbourne Darts Masters title but he didn’t hit the highest average with Michael van Gerwen achieving that.
Van Gerwen hit 111.41 which was the highest of the Melbourne Darts Masters. Behind him was Gary Anderson with a mark of 107.56.
The champion Peter Wright was third with 104.28. In fact Van Gerwen hit three of the highest averages during the tournament.
The only other player barring MVG and Wright to hit more than one average is Michael Smith. He hit two consecutive averages on the list.
