The World Championship alongside the World Grand Prix, Players Championship Finals etc is the next tournament in which players have to qualify for and for some players it seems a debut could be a real possibility.

Burton DeWitt has compiled a table with minimum prize money for the rest of the year. If this is correct and with the expanded criteria, there will be quite a few debutants.
These include Danny Noppert and Ryan Joyce who are new tour card holders and who are more than likely going to secure a spot due to how far up they are in the projected rankings.
There will also be potential returns for the likes of Michael Barnard, Paul Nicholson and Alan Tabern. The latter two have seen a renaissance as of late while Barnard has been quality on the Challenge Tour.
In terms of players who could inevitably miss out due to teetering on the edge, they include Mark Webster and Justin Pipe from the last spots in respective Order of Merits.
This is only minimum prize money so it could all change over the next four months or so before the World Championship cut off.
