A double BDO tournament success may have sealed a Grand Slam of Darts spot for Richard Veenstra.

The Dutchman won both the BDO British Classic and the BDO British Open during a superb weekend in Bridlington. The pair of wins saw the Dutchman fly into the eighth provisional spot for the BDO's Grand Slam line-up. It means that if he or a fellow top eight member wins the World Masters, 'Flyers' will appear in Wolverhampton.
Mark McGeeney currently holds the top spot in the rankings, followed by Glen Durrant. Then come Jim Williams, beaten British Classic finalist Wesley Harms and Scott Mitchell. Michael Unterbuchner's meteoric rise continues, with the German claiming the sixth spot. Veteran Gary Robson sits in the seventh of eight available places.
The BDO stars will join 24 PDC qualifiers for the event at Aldersley Leisure Village in November.
