Michael Smith will take on Michael van Gerwen tonight in a repeat of two of the biggest finals in recent memory, the World Championship and Premier League.

Since the World’s though, Smith has had a bit of a downturn in form and has admitted that he’s been playing really well off stage but trying too hard on it. ‘Playing Michael is a test of where you are,’ said Smith to Metro UK. ‘I’ve been putting the hours in and my performances have been coming back but when you play him you know how much more you need to put in. ‘Practice is unreal, I don’t miss nothing, but I get up there and I’m trying me stones off, it’s the worst thing, instead of just relaxing like I do practicing. ‘I’ve been putting the hours back in now. 12-3 with Ian White and 7.30-10.30 with Eddie Dootson, so I’m putting six hours in now instead of three to get it back. Last three of four weeks now I’ve been doing that.’ for more information about the Premier League Darts, including all the fixtures and the prize fund breakdown.
