Smith and Cross make superb starts at US Darts Masters, Wade avoids shock against Lauby

The first three games at the US Darts Masters have been completed and so far the PDC professionals have come through as winners with no shocks.

For Rob Cross and Michael Smith in particular they produced stunning displays while James Wade squeezed through against Danny Lauby Jnr.
Smith started the evening by thrashing David Cameron 6-1. It was a good performance by the St Helens ace who averaged 92, hit 2x 180’s and a high checkout of 92 in victory.
Wade on the other hand was so close to being dumped out for a second consecutive year in Vegas. ‘The Machine’ was down 5-3 with Lauby having two darts for a 6-3 win but Wade held his nerve to hit a 158 to win 6-5.
Cross was the most impressive so far hitting an average of 105.73 in a 6-1 win over Ross Snook. He hit two 180’s and finishes of 123 and 112 as he advances to play Smith tomorrow.
