Unterbuchner kept his hopes alive in Group D by hitting a 97 average and five out of seven on the doubles. This was in a 5-2 victory against Steve Hine with one maximum score as well and a high checkout of 62.
Gary Robson made a brilliant comeback in the second game of the night in seeing off Joe Murnan. He was 4-1 down and then came back to win 5-4.
‘Shaggy’ missed match darts in the decider but ‘Big Robbo’ came through to also keep his hopes alive. He averaged 88 compared to Murnan’s 89 in the end and like the German can still qualify for the next round.
