Updated Race to World Matchplay: Beaton and Henderson confirm spots

Tuesday saw Mervyn King claim the title but as well as that the race to the World Matchplay continuing with only two events now to the cut off there are still multiple spots up for grabs.

This is due to Alan Norris and Jelle Klaasen denting their hopes of World Matchplay qualification yesterday with early exits. Richard North as a result tied level with the Cobra but only has today to have a good run and confirm his spot.
Steve Beaton, John Henderson and James Wilson all confirmed their places yesterday meaning that eight spots are still insecure and with a few good runs players could sneak in.
Adrian Lewis in terms of the main Order of Merit has to be hoping for a good run today as yesterday he was out early and so couldn’t take advantage of Norris’ troubles, he like quite a lot of players still involved is not in Hamburg so has to hope it’s today he does it.
