James Wade is seen as one of the favourites for the World Matchplay but didn’t start as well as he would have hoped last night. He came through a tiebreak against Jermaine Wattimena and admitted after it was a frustrating game.

For Wade it is frustrating as he has exhibited a real return to form over the past six months or so. He continued saying that he will need to play a lot better next time out.
"That was a very frustrating game for me, I thought I was going to play a lot better than that," Wade admitted.
"I just wanted to go up there and play well and not get involved in a scrap because it's never nice.
He added: "I was nervous and anxious to get over the finishing line which, thankfully, I did in the end but I will need to play a lot better than that."
