Warburton did so on leg difference seeing off both
Wessel Nijman and
Andy Jenkins who were just behind him by a matter of legs.
This meant that despite Nijman claiming a 4-0 whitewash win over
Arron Monk in the end, it meant nothing as he still didn't have the requisite two legs needed to claim the group win.
Nijman himself played out one of the games of the tournament with Warburton earlier today as well with the Welshman defeating the young Dutchman with a 106.92 average defying a 112.95 by Nijman to claim it.
It was a tie that also included a 167 checkout from the former Development Tour winner and five 180's a piece.
In the end though victories over
Scott Mitchell (4-1),
Mark Webster (4-1),
Jason Askew (4-1) and
Arron Monk (4-3) went alongside this to give the World Masters semi-finalist a deserved win.
Arron Monk was next up after the trio on ten points well back on four having started the day superbly by went on a four match losing streak.
Scott Mitchell was also on four with
Jason Askew and
Mark Webster on two a piece.
