Wattimena and White lead averages at latest Players Championship double header

The latest Players Championship weekend gleamed two new winners for 2018 but two familiar faces in Rob Cross & Peter Wright. Two other players stood out though in the form of Jermaine Wattimena and Ian White.

Wattimena reached back to back semi finals on the Players Championship series for the first time being denied by his inability to hit the winning double and on the Sunday a 161 checkout from eventual winner Wright. He hit the highest average of the weekend though with an effort of 111.33.
Ian White was next up hitting 109.08 for the second best effort; with the ‘Diamond’ coming close to adding further to his Pro Tour title haul. Ted Evetts & Richard North followed with 107.53 and 107.36 in European Tour qualification.
Interestingly only one effort came on the Sunday at Players Championship 14. That was from Rob Cross who hit 106.79 as he hovered around that mark all day on his way to victory.
